Right now, our business is growing, and we are looking for the right person to join our Product Department and support our Product Manager in contracting support for our program of over 200 holidays and European tours. If you’re proactive and customer focused with a keen interest for travel, we would like to hear from you!
The successful candidate will need a keen eye for detail and the ability to take direction from our experienced manager. Working to tight deadlines is ‘business as usual’ at Roberts Travel Group, and no two days are the same!

Key areas of the role:
- Support the Product Manager with the negotiation and administration of hotel contracts, always securing the best possible rates and terms to facilitate optimum sales
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders of our holidays programme (suppliers, agents, and internal personnel)
- Working to set cost budgets for each tour, without compromising on standards
- Contributing to the holidays programme with thoughts and new ideas, with product that appeals to our audience
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments to support the key travel projects such as brochure launch, and customer events
- To respond swiftly and support / solve ‘on tour’ issues as they arise such as itinerary changes required due to events outside of our control
- To adopt a ‘continuous improvement’ approach to departmental ways of working, looking for process efficiencies that improve customer experience, save valued time or costs
- Assist the marketing team to promote our product by sourcing images, checking brochure copy and copy writing where required

- Compile accurate and informative customer travel itineraries for the holidays programme ensuring a high standard of presentation

About you:
Knowledge of the UK travel industry and a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within the travel industry is preferred

Must possess a high level of attention to detail and organisational skills
Time management skills with the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
Ability to respond quickly to issues as they arise, and keeping calm and thinking logically where issues arise on a live tour
Enthusiasm and interest for travel and a flair for communicating this through the product
Excellent people skills, particularly for communicating with external suppliers and key stakeholders
Ability to work with others as part of a team with a ‘can do’ attitude
Ability to form strong trusting relationships with our suppliers
Good commercial awareness
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong IT skills
